As part of our growth strategy, the following professorship is to be filled by 01 September 2014 (or as agreed): Assistant Professor of Start-Up Management
As an assistant professor at GGS you should be internationally active in the field of Start-up Management, in particular with an interdisciplinary and applied perspective on the success factors involved in founding new businesses. We expect a commitment to pursuing research at the highest level as well as enthusiasm for excellent teaching of high potentials, managers, and entrepreneurs in our part-time master’s degree programs for working professionals and in GGS Executive Education. In addition, we seek enthusiasm for guiding students and doctoral candidates through initiation and launch of start-up ventures and for the establishment of a GGS Start-up Center.
A successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in long-term study of start-up initiatives and start-up teams, dynamic competencies within start-up and growth processes, and relationships between start-up initiatives and their stakeholders. The Heilbronn-Franken region offers an ideal context with its numerous successful innovative enterprises.
We expect candidates to have an excellent doctoral thesis, articles in leading national and international journals, both peer-reviewed scholarly publications and journals of research and practice, as well as a successful track record teaching in the core area of the professorship, including the ability to instruct in English. Work experience, preferably in the start-up context, enhances your qualifications.
