Main purpose of position:
To assist the Marketing Manager in all marketing- related matters pertaining to the station both on- and off- air.
Key Accountabilities:
- To assist the Marketing Manager in sourcing information that is pivotal in creating the Marketing Strategy for METRO FM.
- To identify key events that is in line with the station’s target market, in order to create maximum awareness.
- Assist with collation of information, targets, promotional plan, brand marketing summaries
- Assist in updating and collating of the weekly and/ monthly reports
- Assist in processing of invoices and assisting with general marketing office admin tasks to ensure that all deadlines are met
- Assist in co-ordinating with sourcing of quotes for branding and merchandising, from the various preferred supplier list according to the SABC protocols and procedures
- Consult with and provide feedback to the Marketing Manager on the status of promotions
- Assist Airtime sales and Programming with the co- ordination of competitions and ensure that winners are notified and prizes dispatched, and follow up thereof
- Co-ordinate with suppliers and ensure that all Brand material is delivered and set up at events
- Plan, negotiate and organise events with clients, marketing and programming departments
- Ensure that all events and remote broadcasts are branded to ensure maximum exposure
Requirements:
· Matric/Grade 12 plus three years Marketing experience or relevant tertiary qualification
· Two years experience in Public Relations and Event Marketing
· Computer literacy is essential
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· Customer service orientation skills
· Ability to work under pressure
· Valid driver’s ‘licence
· Good organizational and time management skills
· Must have own transport, willing to travel and be prepared to work long hours as well as over weekends
