Barrick operates the wholly owned Lawlers Gold Mine located in the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, approximately 35kms west of Leinster.

Position Overview:
Lawlers is currently seeking an experienced, proactive and self-motivated Senior Underground Production Engineer to join the UG Mining team. This position will utilize all of your skills as an engineer and leader.
You will report to the UG Manager and will be responsible for the promotion of, and participation, in the company’s environmental, health, safety and operational policies/procedures. In addition to this, you will be responsible for the following duties and activities:
• Oversee the drill and blast engineering function.
• Oversee the drill and blast engineering function.
• Short and medium term mine planning and tracking progress to plan.
• Promoting site safety policies and procedures.
• Production reporting, review variances to plan.
• Supervising production engineering team.
• Underground project works and studies as required.
• Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements: • Recognised tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or the equivalent.
• Promoting site safety policies and procedures.

• Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements: • Recognised tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or the equivalent.
• Over 5 years experience in underground mechanized mining techniques.
• WA First Class Mine Managers Ticket an advantage or the necessary experience and desire to obtain it.
• Computer literacy of mine planning packages (Vulcan) and MS Office
• Proven track record in various stope mining methods.
• Possess good communication skills as well as a high level of personal motivation and commitment.
• Ability to be a courageous leader and show high quality safety practices.
