Barrick operates the wholly owned Lawlers Gold Mine located in the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, approximately 35km west of Leinster. The Lawlers Gold Mine produces 120,000 oz of gold from 840,000 tonnes of ore each year.

Position Overview:

An outstanding opportunity is available for an exceptionally talented leader to fill the role of Mining Superintendent at our Fairyland Underground Mine. The Mining Superintendent is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient mining operations. As an innovative professional, you will look beyond traditional thinking to foster a culture of excellent and continual improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Lead the Underground Mining Department’s operational and technical teams to meet and exceed key performance targets.

· Support and provide input into the Budget, Strategic Business Plan, Tactical Planning and other Business Improvement Projects

· Ensure safety and environmental standards are met

Requirements:

· WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate

· Experience in underground hard rock decline/shaft access operations

· Experience in sub-level stoping techniques and remote bogging operations

· Excellence in strategic business improvement initiatives

· Superior technical and troubleshooting skills

· A proven track record in leading, motivating and directing teams

· Demonstrated success with problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills combined with project management experience will make you a strong candidate for this role.

Lawlers Gold Mine operation is fly in/fly out from Perth on a 8 days on and 6 days off roster. On-site accommodation, including all messing facilities, is provided.
