Accountant/Program Finance Expert Abaton
ABATON is an italian entirely private limited liability firm, established in 1987 by a group of professionals with wide experience in managing development projects. Its main sectors of activity are local development, urban and regional planning and environment protection, socio-economic development, particularly in the sector of social inclusion and poverty reduction, decentralised co-operation, democracy and human rights.
Abaton carries out activities of technical assistance and monitoring and evaluation of policies, programmes and projects. It also performs studies and researches and training activities.
We are looking for an Accountant, willing to work for us as a Program Finance Expert in the evaluation of a Food Security project in Somalia.
The main purpose of the final evaluation is to provide an independent assessment of the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and results of NRC’s food security response to the 2011 Somalia famine.
The expert will conduct the field research in late June and early July 2012 for about 20 days. Then, there will be a final presentation the 6th of August.
Recruitment qualifications:
-Accountant by training,
-with a minimum of 3 years of experience in program finance in the humanitarian sector,
-familiarity with program logistics and supply chains in emergency settings is desirable,
-fluent in written and spoken English,
-experience with the logical framework approach,
-a prior experience in Somalia is helpful.
