Claims Supervisor

Your responsibilities:
  • The management of all marine and transport liability and cargo claims
  • Conduct active recoveries against subcontractors
  • Perform contract analysis on marine and transport liability elements relevant to claims
  • Implement and maintain Global Claims Procedures In Belgium
  • Report for all claims to the national and regional management with monthly or quarterly claims reports
  • Maintain and develop the claims database and e-filing system
Your qualifications:
  • University level knowledge or equal level due to relevant experience in international transport and maritime law including insurance law
  • At least two years experience in a claims supervisor position within the freight or insurance industry
  • Good knowledge on Belgian and international carriage of goods conventions for air and sea
  • Excellent coordination, organization, coordination and negotiation skills
  • Languages: mother tongue in Dutch, good written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • MS Office knowledge: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
