War Child annually helps 750,000 children in post-war areas develop the strength to build a peaceful future. For themselves and their communities. War Child HQ in Amsterdam employs some 60 office staff and 300 field staff. The organization achieved strong growth in recent years: budget was doubled, efficiency and effectiveness further increased. Now the time has come to re-evaluate the strategy, with focus on future challenges. Innovation and diversification in funding. Ongoing development of programmes and new business models for reaching the target audience. And advocacy for war children on the international agenda. To achieve this, close collaboration with other (inter)national parties is indispensable. The General Manager leads the MT and reports to the Supervisory Board. Raises organization and team to a higher level. Thinks outside the box and creates impact.Strong and modern people manager with courage and charisma. Leads and facilitates. Has credibility thanks to experience in and a passion for War Child’s field of activity. Fluency in Dutch.
