INTERNATIONAL RECRUITER Tetra Tech ARD

Tetra Tech ARD (http://www.ardinc.com), a Burlington,VT-based international development consulting firm, has an immediate opening for a full-time recruiter to work in its International Consultant Services office. This position will provide recruitment and staffing support for Tetra Tech’s diverse international pursuits. The ideal candidate should have familiarity with international development activities.

Responsibilities: * Identifying staff to fill positions on international development projects. * Performing searches of the internal corporate professional roster as well as employing other sourcing techniques to identify appropriate consultants. * Making direct initial phone contact with consultants to introduce job opportunity, ascertain availability and request needed documentation. * Conducting reference checks. * Maintaining consultant database files and adding current information. * Maintaining contact with candidates under consideration by phone, email, and other means.

Essential Qualifications: * BA/BS (minimum) in a related field. * Prior experience working in a professional office environment. * Excellent telephone communication skills (experience doing market research or sales calls helpful). * Excellent information management skills, with very strong attention to detail. * Ability to organize own work and perform independently while fostering productive team relationships. * Excellent ability to integrate into teams smoothly and understand requirements quickly. * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Strong writing and synthesizing skills. * High level proficiency MS-Office applications and databases. * Ability to communicate in Spanish desired. * High level of reliability and follow-through. * Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and sometimes intense work environment.

  • U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is an absolute requirement.

Desired Qualifications * Some familiarity with or exposure to international development activities. * Previous contact with consultants in one or more of firm’s practice areas. * Previous experience with technical assistance recruiting for international donor agencies.
