Senior APEC Adviser

The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Economic Governance (AIPEG) is an AusAID-funded project assisting Indonesia to undertake important economic and financial policy reforms. Norton Rose Australia, as the Australian Managing Contractor, is now seeking expressions of interest from qualified professionals for a consultancy position based in Jakarta, Indonesia.


Senior APEC Adviser:

he Adviser will assist the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs (CMEA) prepare for and coordinate the Government of Indonesia’s Chairmanship of APEC 2013. This position is for an initial period of up to 5 months ending 30 Nov 12, with a 12 month extension planned.

Essential Requirements
Extensive experience working in both the APEC arena and in the provision of economic and policy advice
An ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of internal (CMEA) and external (other GOI Ministries and Agencies, and APEC member country) stakeholders.
Strong professional leadership skills and the capacity to coach and advise senior (Echelon 2 and 3) and junior CMEA staff
Highly developed written and oral English communication skills
A degree in an area relevant to the services

Desirable Requirements:
Experience working with and or consulting to the Government of Indonesia
Bahasa Indonesia language skills
