Senior Project Design And Planning Specialist – Measuring Impact ,Tetra Tech ARD

Tetra Tech ARD (www.ardinc.com) is accepting expressions of interests from qualified Senior Project Design and Planning specialists for a USAID funded Measuring Impact program. This program with provide services to enhance the impact of biodiversity and forestry programs in USAID through improved knowledge, evidence based programming and adaptive management by equipping the staff of USAID’s Bureau for Economic Growth, Agriculture and Trade, Forestry and Biodiversity Team (EGAT/FAB) and selected USAID Missions with knowledge and tools through research evaluations, technical assistance and sharing of lessons learned.

This full-time position will be based in the Washington, DC area and will require frequent international travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Work to enhance the capacity of USAID and partners to design and adaptively manage effective biodiversity and integrated programs;
  • Identify and engage with selected environmental units with early stage biodiversity programs;
  • Create tools and guidance to define biodiversity-related development challenges, including understanding of gender roles and responsibilities associated with biodiversity programming;
  • Schedule trainings and workshops for USAID staff and partners;
  • Work with environmental teams to review existing Performance Management Plans (PMPs) and improve as needed.

Qualifications:

  • At least a Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in international development, biodiversity conservation, ecology, public administration, or related degree;
  • At least 10 years’ experience in international development or closely related field, with overseas experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in project design and implementing action plans;
  • Experience designing and overseeing trainings and workshops for large, multi-cultural groups;
  • This position requires frequent short-term international travel;
  • U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is mandatory.
