Senior Researcher – Measuring Impact - Tetra Tech ARD

Tetra Tech ARD (www.ardinc.com) is accepting expressions of interests from qualified Senior Researchers for a USAID-funded Measuring Impact program. This program will provide services to enhance the impact of biodiversity and forestry programs in USAID through improved knowledge, evidence based programming and adaptive management by equipping the staff of USAID’s Bureau for Economic Growth, Agriculture and Trade, Forestry and Biodiversity Team (EGAT/FAB) and selected USAID Missions with knowledge and tools through research evaluations, technical assistance and sharing of lessons learned.

This full-time position will be based in the Washington, DC area and will require periodic international travel.

Responsibilities:
• Strengthen the evidence base for the impact of biodiversity and forest conservation on development by testing critical theories and assumptions in biodiversity and forest conservation and integrated programs;
• Interface with USG agency investments in geospatial centers, Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) and other datasets;
• Identify and disseminate lessons learned.

Qualifications:
• At least a Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in international development, biodiversity conservation, ecology, public administration, or related degree;
• At least 10 years’ experience in international development or closely related field, preferably with overseas experience;
• Demonstrated experience coordinating with clients and donors to develop and implement research projects;
• Experience designing and overseeing trainings and workshops for multi-cultural audiences;
• U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is mandatory.
