The role

SMEC's Urban & Social Development Group is currently seeking an International Development Manager to be a critical member of the business development and program management team based in Australia.
The position requires the following key attributes:
  • Technical skills and professional qualifications in Social Development and/or one of SMEC's other core discipline areas is preferred
  • Experience working with AusAID and other international donor clients, including the coordinating and/or writing of technical proposals
  • Good networking and active business development skills
  • Sound program management skills and contract management
  • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter able to plan and organise work to meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of equal opportunity, child protection and OH&S
  • The ability to travel internationally for short term work is essential
  • The right to work and live in Australia is essential
  • Flexible Location: Canberra, Adelaide, Brisbane or Melbourne
