BBC Children in Need is the BBC’s UK Charity. Our vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential.

The charity supports projects working with disadvantaged children and young people in the UK and has the following strategic aims:

• To be a great story-teller
• To be a great grant maker
• To be a great organisation

Role

As part of the BBC Children in Need's digital offering, you will scope, plan and manage delivery of all AV projects, as well as the catalogue of video footage, investigating new and innovative ways to drive growth in revenue and reach across digital platforms.

You will support the digital team shooting, creating and delivering a website which supplies engaging charity-related content, drives fundraising activity and reflects the values and vision of both the charity and the BBC.

The production of high quality and compelling content is key, and you will work closely with different project teams to ensure core charity initiatives are supported with AV content where relevant.

Ensuring compliance in line with Editorial Guidelines and building strong working relationships with delivery  and content partners (eg Newsround, The One Show) will help to ensure the success of this role and the Children in Need digital content.

You'll be proficient in the use of Final Cut Pro and HD camera equipment to deliver broadcast quality output. Other experience will include the use of Adobe software (especially Photoshop) and the use of tagging, metadata and SEO. You will also bring knowledge of social networks and how to use them effectively.

Copywriting skills and excellent attention to detail, supported by clear and accurate communication skills, and a proven track record of organising, working to tight deadlines and juggling a variety of tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail, is absolutely key.

There will be interaction with celebrities, who must be dealt with in a professional manner.

UK travel (with equipment) will be required.
