Professor of Practice in Retailing (Aalto BIZ)

Aalto University School of Business invites applications for:

3-year Professor of Practice in Retailing position starting from 1.8.2013

The chosen applicant is expected to conduct high quality research in retailing, take part in teaching and development of teaching at the Department of Marketing, guide theses on different levels, and participate in international cooperation and grant applications as well as lead research projects.

Throughout their careers, professors are expected to conduct and guide scientific research, provide research-based teaching, follow advances in their respective fields, participate in service to the Aalto University community, as well as  in societal interaction and international collaboration in their fields.

Requirements

The applicants will be reviewed on the basis of their research, teaching, academic leadership and activity in scientific community. Especially the following are taken into account:

• experience in expert and management level positions/tasks in retail
• demonstration of teaching, research and publications in retail field
• experience in leading research projects
• demonstration of international cooperation

The applicant is expected to have a doctoral degree in a relevant field.

Salary

Aalto University follows the salary system of Finnish universities, but applicants may also provide salary requirements.
