We have ambitious plans to develop a digital strategy that will set standards and transform the way we operate. From refreshing our website and launching a mobile site to delivering new tools to increase our online income you will find yourself at the heart of the action.
Reporting to the Head of Digital, you will provide advice on key elements of our digital strategy, especially covering the use of new technologies and platforms, transactional processes and security as well as data integration. You will contribute to risk assessment and management processes in addition to leading on technical decisions.
Day to day you will manage our content management system (Drupal 7), build pages and templates, mobile content and microsites, ensuring integration with databases and online trading processes where necessary. You will also manage the technical aspects of our ecommerce platform, Magento, and take responsibility for the security of our online properties.
Important will be the ability to collaborate with colleagues to devise and implement features and applications to help us attract and retain supporters, grow engagement and increase our online income.
This role requires back-end expertise as well as front end knowledge. You will have extensive experience developing for Drupal as well as knowledge of at least one web development framework, and a good understanding of PHP and database programming. You will be familiar with best practice for maintaining code efficiently, and have used a version control system.
You will have excellent understanding of UX and UI design and a commitment to high levels of usability, accessibility and functionality - implemented through rigorous testing. Your CSS, HTML and JavaScript/jQuery skills will be exemplary and you will be experienced in working across multiple delivery platforms such as tablet and mobile. 
An excellent project manager you will have strong communication skills and be comfortable engaging with stakeholders and line managing a front end developer.
