Job Purpose:
To provide expertise in the sourcing processes, contract management, supply chain management, throughout the entire Procurement process in support of all stakeholders. To support SMS Global Category Managers, PU's and PA's in new external Supplier selection, evaluation, qualification, and ongoing management. Identify best Suppliers based on capabilities, quality, and cost to match Stakeholder needs. To support SMS stakeholders with their Total Cost savings objectives, targets, and projects. Add value by driving total cost improvements within existing, and new Supply Chains. Ensure suppliers are working for continuous improvement related to cost, quality, & EH&S. Ensure that each stakeholders needs are supported fully as required.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Help develop and improve the Chinese supplier base for SMS
2. To evaluate and Qualify External suppliers based on Stakeholder needs.
3. Evaluate stakeholder specification needs, and work with suppliers to meet them.
4. Negotiate Costs, and supply programs.
5. Set-up draft supply contracts.
6. Support stakeholder/supplier initiatives, new projects, and ongoing business.
7. Actively follow up market material prices and report as/where needed.
8. Perform Supplier site audits, and verify corrective action process at supplier for Quality and EH&S.
9. To secure fulfillment of Sandvik Code of Conduct with suppliers, and drive suppliers for continuous improvement.
10. To provide visit reports and follow up actions for all supplier visits
11. Create and maintain KPI's of supplier, material, market performance
12. Keep all records and files in a good order and to utilize the SMS databases and public folders
13. Other activities as assigned by Sourcing Manager.

Job Requirements:
1. At least 4 years of general Supplier sourcing experience, to include negotiations, contracts, and auditing.
2. An university degree in a related subject is preferred, Or equivalent work experience
3. Experience within the Tooling industry preferred, but not required.
4. Prefer candidates with prior experience working for Foreign Multi-Nationals
5. Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese Mandarin.
6. Computer Proficient (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, Internet, Intranet)
7. Technical capabilities to understand and define stakeholder product needs/specifications and to verify supplier capabilities to supply.
8. Have basic ability to read and understand specification drawings/prints
9. Ability to travel and interest in other Cultures.
10. Service minded attitude to support Global Stakeholders.
11. Ability to work within local/regional/global team environments.
12. Must be detailed and organized.
13. The ability to work independently and under pressure.
