The Witwatersrand Basin is home to Gold Fields’ famous Driefontein, Kloof and Beatrix Gold Mines, as well as the developing South Deep project. These mines remain key contributors to Gold Fields delivering on its vision of being the global leader in sustainable gold mining.

Applicants must hold a Matric/Grade12 Certificate, an Audiometry Testing Certificate and a Vision Screening Certificate, and be registered with the SASOHN. A good command of the English language in both written and verbal communication and good interpersonal skills are important, as is the ability to work independently and under pressure. The incumbent also needs to be conversant in African languages and must be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Visual testing/audio testing
  • Adherence to policies and standard procedures
  • Liaison with all levels of staff and patients
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to this position.
