Director: Student Administration

The Director: Student Administration is responsible for the portfolio of student administration, which includes Admissions, Student Fees, Enrolment and the Students Service Centre. In addition to providing strategic leadership and overseeing operations across these areas, this position plays a significant role in the operational management and delivery of student administration and services.

Key selection criteria:

• An appropriate, relevant tertiary qualification (preferably at postgraduate level)
• Extensive experience in the higher education sector and an understanding of university statutes and regulations, particularly those relating to student administration
• Experience in the management and leadership of staff, in strategic planning, project management, budget planning and management
• Demonstrated leadership and innovation in an integrated policy and services delivery environment where team building is essential for success
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity and understanding of Student Information Systems
• Excellent, high-level analytical and problem-solving skills and a capacity for innovation in dealing with complex system, policy, organisational and procedural issues
• A commitment to excellence in the provision of service.
