Ghana Country Director Heifer International

Heifer International is seeking a Country Director who will lead and be responsible for all programmatic and financial operations and will ensure the country program’s work is executed with quality and accountability.

Heifer International is a global nonprofit organization whose mission is to ending hunger and poverty using sustainable practices in integrated agriculture since 1944

Responsibilities and functions include, but not limited to:
•Lead the development of strategic plans
•Oversee the management of country office resources, including human resources
•Lead country office efforts to secure institutional funding and in-country resources mobilization
•Develop programs, projects, secure funding for them and oversee their implementation
•Oversee monitoring and evaluation and document evidence of impact
•Oversee the management of financial resources and ensure accountability and compliance
•Represent Heifer at international and country level with stakeholders and partners

This position requires at minimum
•A Bachelor’s degree in international development, agriculture economics, development studies, Business Administration or related field
•10 years proven record in leading and managing development programs in Africa.
•Project development and monitoring and evaluation experience
•Fluency in English
