Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist – Ghana

CHF International is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for the anticipated USAID-funded Resiliency in Northern Ghana (RING) program. The aim of the program is to improve the livelihoods and nutritional status of vulnerable households in targeted communities in the Northern Region of Ghana. Project activities will focus on increasing consumption of diverse quality foods, especially among women and children; improving behaviors related to nutrition and hygiene of women and young children; strengthening local support networks (with a particular focus on Regional Coordinating Councils (RCC) and District Assembly (DA) staff and systems) to address the needs of vulnerable households.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for leading all M&E activities for RING. The M&E Specialist will develop and manage the M&E system for the program. In particular, the M&E Specialist will design, manage, and provide quarterly reporting information as part of the project’s Performance Management Plan (PMP), ensure consistent data collection and management, manage the data collection process to include schedules, logistics and methodologies in coordination with data collection teams and other staff; analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data in order to gauge project impact; and report on activities, accomplishments, and results for USAID Feed the Future deliverables and reports including weekly, quarterly, annual, and other ad hoc reports.

Qualifications • Master’s degree in relevant field. • Specialized training in Monitoring and Evaluation required • 7+ years of experience in managing monitoring and evaluation activities on large, complex donor-funded international development projects • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods, tools, and techniques. • Excellent knowledge of advanced statistics and research methodology, including skills in sampling techniques and methodologies, professional use of computer software for statistical and other relevant applications (such as SPSS, STATA and spreadsheets). • Experience with impact assessment and change management. • Prior experience on USAID Feed the Future projects preferred. • Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, ACCESS and/or other database programs. • Excellent presentation/training skills, including experience in the design and facilitation of short- and long-term training programs; • Prior experience in Ghana or West Africa preferred
