DFID Trachoma Mapping Project Finance Officer (9-month contract)

£30,000 per annum

The DFID Trachoma Mapping Project is an ambitious initiative to map the prevalence of Trachoma across over 30 countries so that interventions to bring about the elimination of the disease can be effectively planned and implemented.

We are now looking for a Finance Officer to work closely with the Head of Finance and Risk to provide support on all financial aspects of the project. The post-holder will also help provide the reporting required by DFID whilst also delivering high quality financial information to the project management team to aid decision making.

The successful candidate should have demonstrable finance and accountancy experience along with experience of working within a project environment. You will be expected to possess excellent numerical skills with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mind-set, seeking ways to improve processes and mitigate risk.

An accountancy qualification, experience in the INGO sector and language skills in French and/or Portuguese would be an advantage.
