Samaritan's Purse Program Manager, Health and Nutrition, Vietnam

If this describes you, you may be the perfect fit for a job opportunity in Vietnam developing health-related programs and training our Vietnamese national staff to meet the health needs of the many ethnic groups living in the Highlands of Vietnam. The Program Manager for Health & Nutrition will provide technical assistance and leadership to all projects with a health, nutrition, or medical component. Key responsibilities include: - Lead existing and develop new health and nutrition programs. - Lead, train, and supervise health/nutrition staff. - Ensure team can monitor and evaluate projects according to SP standards. - Develop budgets and ensure programs operate within budget. - Visit field sites to provide support, address programmatic challenges, assess and evaluate program, identify future opportunities. - Interface with other international local organizations involved in health/nutrition active in Vietnam. - Actively seek out external funding opportunities. - Serve as a spiritual leader in the Hanoi office by maintaining personal relationship with Jesus Christ, is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, and attends daily devotions leading when called upon. - Participates in prayer support for the ministry, its donors, and its volunteers.

Qualifications - Maintains personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is consistent witness for Jesus Christ. - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Nutrition, Public Health or any health related degree. - Minimum of 3-5 years related international work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - One year of college-level Biblical studies is preferred. - Experience in health/nutrition in areas of public health, epidemiology, social or behavioral science, or related fields. - Past international experience is a plus. - Ability to travel over night to field sites to monitor projects. - Excellent planning and organizational skills. - Works well in a diverse team and pressured environment. - Ability to communicate and interact well with people of different educational, linguistic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. - Strong relational skills and financial management experience preferred. - Proven management and leadership experience. - Willingness to learn survival level Vietnamese is necessary.

24 month Contract with the potential for renewal. This is an accompanied position.
