Tea inspection officer in Rwanda
NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL EXPORT DEVELOPMENT BOARD (NAEB) is looking for highly competent and motivated candidates to fill the following posts in the organization:
Tea inspection officer (1)
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
•Examine the characteristics and the quality of tea and its compliancy with the tea standards;
•Carry out inspection both at the intermediate stage and at the finished product stage;
•Examine the characteristics of tea both leaf and processed tea to advise relevant authorities accordingly
•Inspects on a regular basis, the machinery and equipment, inadequate process capability, worn-out tools, jigs, or dies, non-availability of gauges or measuring equipment, use of untested materials, mixed up materials or substandard materials such as packing materials etc
•Inspects on a regular basis the use of fertilizers, pesticides and other inputs used in the tea sector - this takes care of origin, types, degree of toxicity etc.
•Constant inspection of hygienic standards and general cleanliness in tea factories in the country;
•Planning and implementing internal quality audits as per ISO 9001-2000 and HACCP standards.
Education and Experience
•Masters in Botanical Sciences, Food Sciences and Technology, Agri business, Agro economics Agriculture, Crop Production Or Bachelor’s degree in Botanical Sciences, Food Sciences and Technology, Agri business, Agro economics Agriculture, Crop Production or Other Relavant Field with 3 years working Experience
Interested candidates for the above positions should submit the following to the Central secretariat of NAEB, not later than 14th September 2012 at 5:00 pm. NAEB office are situated at Gikondo, Magerwa road.
1.A letter of application addressed to the Director General of NAEB
2.A filled application form obtained from NAEB website www.naeb.gov.rw .
3.Detailed CV including names and telephone contacts of three reference persons
4.Copies of academic Certificates
5.Copy of the national identity card.
The date for written test and interview shall be communicated to the selected candidates.
