The School of Civil, Environmental and Chemical Engineering offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs from Bachelor, single and double Degree to Master and PhD in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering.

The School is an establishment of around 70 staff, including leading Professors and Research staff.

There are over 60 post graduate students enrolled in research programs. The postgraduate research programs cover Masters of Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy in a range of new and developing fields. Much of the research activity is linked with industry with a broad range of research interests generally under the themes of Water Engineering, Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Rheology and Materials Processing.

As an Associate Professor / Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering you will be responsible for the contribution to the teaching and research efforts of the School, in particular in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering. Reporting to the Discipline Head, Civil Engineering, your key accountabilities will include:
• Providing research leadership by engaging with relevant industry stakeholders
• Attracting research grants and producing publications in high impact journals
• Providing a high standard of supervision of postgraduate research students and postdoctoral research staff.

To be considered for this role you must possess an excellent record of academic and/or professional achievement in a Civil Engineering field with the proven ability to attract competitive research grants. Possessing a PhD in a related field, you will have an extensive track record in a field of Civil Engineering and demonstrated experience in developing Masters programs and in teaching innovation and excellence.
