We are currently tendering for the upcoming AusAID funded Philippines Classroom Construction - Technical Support Unit (TSU). This project has been established to primarily address the serious overcrowding in Philippine schools through a Classroom Construction Initiative (CCI).

We are seeking applications for the position of Human Resource Management & Development Specialist.

As Human Resource Management & Development Specialist you will be responsible for working closely with the Technical Support Unit (TSU) training and advising the Department of Education (DepEd) personnel. The Project aims to assist DepEd improve the department’s financial management and procurement practices and scope for a more comprehensive and sustainable approach to classroom construction.

The Position
As a key team member, a Human Resource Management & Development Specialist will demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

• Capacity building with local and government organisations in developing countries
• Providing advice, guidance & making recommendations on the creation of effective organisational structures & roles
• Identifying competency gaps and improve core competencies
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in human resource development, management and training focussing on organisational assessment and development

Candidates with practical experience in the Philippines and Pacific will be highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have high level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, a knowledge and sensitivity to cultural issues in the area as well as a sound understanding of the Philippines or the Pacific in a development context.

Salary Professional Discipline Category B, Level 3 under the AusAID Adviser Remuneration Framework (ARF)* (*category and level subject to confirmation by AusAID)
