SALARY: £43,239 - £46,291 pa

As Head of Policy you will be a member of the leadership group of AAUK and take responsibility for strategic and operational team management. You will lead and support the newly established team to realise its vision, strategies and plans. You will manage budgets, drive implementation as well as ensure objectives are met. This will involve developing research and analysis to inform advocacy and campaigns and influence public policy, ensuring effective public commentary on priority topics, as well as building and sustaining links with our programmes and partners. 


This highly important role demands strong strategic leadership skills coupled with management experience in policy and advocacy. Having an excellent understanding of the factors that sustain and perpetuate poverty and inequality, you will be comfortable communicating and influencing at senior levels and acting as a media spokesperson for the organisation. You will also possess good knowledge of development policy and practice, especially of the UK government.
