Pact Tanzania Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Pact Tanzania is an implementing partner under the USAID/PEPFAR Pamoja Tuwalee program providing a community-based approach to Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC). We are currently seeking a qualified Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E Officer) to provide support to program implementation. .

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (1 Position)

Reports to:MERL Manager

Job Objective:Serve as an active member of the program team for the implementation of Pact's program with the primary responsibility for monitoring and evaluation.

Responsibilities

The M&E Officer is responsible for working with the M&E team to develop and carry out a Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning Plan (MERL Plan) for the PamojaTuwalee program and complementary projects. S/he supports coordination of Pact's M&E activities and the reporting of data under PamojaTuwalee and other USG regulations, training of staff and partners on monitoring systems and facilitating their use in tracking progress against program targets. S/he supports the development of evaluation tools and methods for PamojaTuwalee and related projects and supports gathering and analyzing data for project M&E. S/he participates in the development and delivery of training workshops and other capacity building interventions and serves as a mentor to NGOs and provide technical assistance in various areas relating to M&E. The M&E Officer will report to the M&E Manager.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in related field is required, master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

The position requires solid computer skills to collect and analyze information, strong written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years professional experience working in the field of Monitoring, Evaluation and reporting, preferably working with donor funded programs;

The candidate should have experience in training and workshop implementation and proven ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with government and other NGO counterparts.
