Manager, External Relations, Resource Mobilization and Partnerships

The manager will be responsible for providing guidance and high level advice on relations with external institutions and organizations aimed at creating or enhancing partnerships as well as mobilizing resources for PAHO’s strategic work. This person will take into account the Health Agenda of the Americas, PAHO’s Strategic Plan, WHO’s Policies and programmatic framework, the Millennium Development Goals, Globe/Regional Summits, and Governing Bodies mandates.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A master’s degree in a health or social science, public administration, economics, international relations or other related area from a recognized institution.
  • 15 years of combined national and international experience leading and managing external relations, resource mobilization and partnerships programs, ideally in the field of international public health, in particular partnerships with broad range of stakeholders including civil society, private sector, donors, United Nations system organizations, and foundations at the national and international levels.
  • Very good knowledge of English or Spanish with a working knowledge of the other language.

Salary range: US$ 141,564.70-US$153,154.74, net of income taxes. PAHO/WHO’s compensation package includes dependency benefits, pension plan, health insurance scheme and 30 days annual leave.
