Facility Director Jakarta

Senior role for an adept and highly skilled consultant
Project / facility management focus
Up to 3 year contract with a comprehensive remuneration package.


Norton Rose Australia is seeking applications from qualified and highly experienced consultants in project/facility management and direction. The assignment will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia on a fulltime basis, for up to 36 months.

In this most senior and key role supported by an experienced team you will lead the provision of support to the Government of Indonesia in the role of Facility Director (FD) of Phase 2 of the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Economic Governance(AIPEG) Facility, which is AusAID-funded, and managed by Norton Rose Australia (NRA). You will work closely in this role with an Operations Manager, who will be responsible for the day to day management of the Facility.For you to be successful you will need to be able to clearly demonstrate a range of skills including but not limited to;
  • Proven track record in strategic leadership, management and implementation of economic and public administrative reform programs;
  • The ability to participate in and lead reform dialogue with high level Indonesian government officials;
  • Have a proven track record of leading international multi-disciplinary specialist teams in the delivery of large-scaleprograms;
  • Impeccable communication skills and natural capacity to motivate and lead staff in a culturally diverse setting; Experience (or a good understanding) of: gender equality, monitoring and evaluation principles, program activity design and 
the implications for facility implementation; and importantly fluency in speaking, reading and writing (to a professional report level) in English;


Higher degree in public policy or economics (e.g. economic policy, economic development, international development) You will be expected to begin your new role as soon as possible after 30 November 2012, the completion date of AIPEG Phase 1. A remuneration package will be negotiated in accordance with the current version of the AusAID Adviser Remuneration Framework (ARF). This may be found on the AusAID website (www.ausaid.gov.au) or obtained from Bruce McIntyre at the above email address.

For purposes of the ARF this position is classified as Discipline/Job Level D4.
