The Bank of England is the central bank of the United Kingdom. Standing at the centre of the UK’s financial system, the Bank exists to ensure monetary stability and to contribute to financial stability.

A vacancy has arisen in the Bank’s Agency for Scotland to support the Bank’s new responsibilities for financial stability that include the establishment of the Financial Policy Committee.

By speaking to businesses and other organisations, the Bank’s Agents assess economic conditions affecting businesses to support the Bank’s monetary and financial stability objectives. The enhanced responsibilities for Financial Stability, including the establishing of the Financial Policy Committee, will also draw on information from the Agency network. With one other Deputy Agent, based in London, you will direct the Agencies in how they support the new responsibilities for financial stability. This role will include helping members of the FPC undertake visits around the UK and supporting the existing information gathering by the Agency for Scotland.
