Regional Growth Coordinators : London, Hong Kong, Dakar

At the forefront of human rights, Amnesty International (AI) works tirelessly across the world to fight injustice and help those affected by it. With national entities in over 60 countries, AI believes that through building upon and expanding on this presence of our global movement we will have a greater ability to create positive changes in global Human Rights.

To achieve this we are looking for four Regional Growth Coordinators to build the presence of our movement in key countries in each of the following regions:

Middle East and North Africa

Location: London | Contract: 2 year fixed term | Salary: £42,156 per annum

Americas

Location: London | Contract: 2 year fixed term | Salary: £42,156 per annum

Africa

Location: Dakar | Contract: 2 year fixed term, with a possibility of extension to be based in Nairobi | Salary: XOF 43,820,854

Asia Pacific

Location: Hong Kong | Contract: Permanent | Salary: HK$ 508,487

About the roles

AI has different ways to build new presence of its movement globally. From opening new national entities, to developing partnerships, supporting networks of volunteers and innovating new approaches, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of a range of national and regional initiatives. Founded in your knowledge of the region, you will exercise strategic thinking, good project management and sound judgment as you build on our presence and impact.

About you

In addition to a solid foundation of knowledge of the region you should bring a background in supporting the building of movements or supporting development of new projects. You will have an understanding of the link between growth and the mobilisation of a movement to create change, with experience of developing partnerships with Civil Society Organisations & NGOs and excellent project management skills. Equally important are your first-rate communication skills and understanding of human rights and the trends in civil society and activism in your chosen region. Fluency in English is essential. Competency in a relevant regional language is required for some posts. You should have the ability to travel for the role.
