Summary of the Position
Goal of Lead Development Role
The Vital Role of the Lead Development Representative is to Generate Qualified Leads for the sales force.  This is done through a combination of inbound & outbound efforts where the LDR follows up with responders and or event attendees who match our ideal customer profile. They also serve as the main point of contact to build relationships with incoming calls and web inquiries. The role is 100% dedicated to lead management and nurturing leads.
Three core elements of the LDR role:
1. Build rapport with contacts by offering resources (webinar invitations, white papers, relevant blog articles, etc.) and understanding where the prospect is in the buying process
2. Gather key information to update the CRM system and assign a nurture path and follow-up strategy
3. Identify opportunities that meet a minimum qualification criteria (BANT) for the sales team
Responsibilities
The LDR has a strong skill set that uses the Lead Management process to:
• Transform Marketing Qualified Leads to Sales Opportunities, by educating, and challenging prospective buyers; not selling
• Update SFDC to reflect current lead status
• Take live chats and phone calls & follow-up via phone & email on leads from web, events, email campaigns, etc.; ask for referrals
• Schedules intro meetings w/potential buyers & AE for qualified opportunities that fit BANT criteria
• Creates opportunities in CRM system & assign to Sales per BANT criteria
• Assigns and use Lead Nurturing processes on ICP accounts not yet ready to buy
• Searches internal & external subscription databases, LinkedIn, etc. for additional key contacts within existing companies
Qualifications/Skills Required and Preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong rapport building phone communication skills
• Great problem solver; ability to grasp difficult concepts easily
• Strong active listening skills
• Ability to  multitask and strong time management skills
• Resourceful & ability to adapt quickly to changing environment
• 3+ years in a professional educational role
• BA/BS degree
Candidate to speak Canadian French and be fluent in English
