QA/QC Supervisor - E&I

Thiess Industrial Projects are currently seeking a QA/QC Supervisor E&I to work on the QCLNG Upstream Works Project. This role will be bus in bus out from Brisbane, working a 14/7 Roster with camp style accommodation and meals provided whilst working on site. You will be hired as staff for the life of the Project. The role will include but not limited to:
  •  Co-ordinate and direct teams of multi-disciplined trade based personnel and quality inspectors
  •  Ensure that QA and QC checks are conducted regularly, against the appropriate standards and corrective action is implemented
  •  Conduct Work Pack briefings with the intended work crews to ensure awareness and understanding of work activity
  •  Monitor and control the flow of inspection and test activity and resulting records into completed Work Packs
  •  Directly influence the safety culture of "Beyond Zero Harm" through the promotion of safe work practices to all project personnel
  •  Assist to ensure all acitivities are compliant with standards set by the client, the community and the regulatory framework
To be considered for this position, you must have:
  • Electrical and Instrumentation / Engineering trade qualification in an industry related field
  • 5-10 years Quality Control experience preferably Oil and Gas or heavy industry
  • Hazardous Area Competency training
  • Internal Auditing experience will be highly regarded
  • Clear indepth knowledge of Quality Assurance, Control and Inspection procedures, Work Instructions and Check sheets
  • Ability to interpret and understand documented standards, specifications, inspection and test requirements
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • A high attention to detail with exceptional report writing skills
