Quality Assurance Field Technician - Concrete
McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. is a progressive, employee-owned company with offices throughout Western Canada. In business since 1910, McElhanney provides exceptional engineering, surveying, planning, environmental, and mapping services to its clients.
Our company is looking for a Quality Assurance Field Technician to work on a part-time, as-required basis. In this position, the incumbent will support McElhanney’s In-plant Quality Assurance Team with their expertise in precast concrete inspection. The incumbent will be part of our Victoria structural team, however, will be based in and work on projects out of the Vancouver region.
Required Skills
• In-plant quality assurance of precast concrete components at precast concrete fabrication facilities in the Lower Mainland of BC.
• Liaise with McElhanney Victoria office personnel and provide quality assurance reporting of work progress at the fabrication facilities.
Required Experience
• 5+ years of experience in cast-in-place and/or precast concrete.
• Registration in good standing, or eligible for registration, as an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician.
• A technical understanding of structural engineering principles and knowledge of pre-stressed concrete would be an asset.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite - Must be conversant in MS Word and be able to create and email reports.
• A valid BC Driver’s License.
