Senior Supporter Development Manager

Salary:£44,320 - £47,448
Contract:Permanent
Location:London
Closing date:January 7th 2014
At ActionAid we are delivering a bold strategy to provide sustained improvements to the poorest and most excluded people in the world. It means we’re creating fantastic career opportunities for experienced sector professionals who want to be part of an organisation that is making a real difference. Join our action to end poverty now and be part of something truly amazing.
Your role will be to ensure we gain the maximum value from our 155,000+ financial supporters. You’ll achieve this through the strategic development and delivery of a programme that ensures these donors have the most positive and seamless experience from their first donation. Leading a team of four, you’ll deliver a variety of direct mail, telemarketing and digital communication campaigns that uplift and cross-sell our financial giving products and campaign actions.
You will also ensure activities are led by the insights gained through performance monitoring and analysis. Enabling Actionaid to develop income streams that are flexible and future proof will be a key priority.
Extensive direct marketing experience in the charity sector should mean you already have an impressive record of designing and delivering strategic supporter journeys. It should also show you know how to plan data segmentation so that communications are effectively targeted and personalised based on strategic and tactical tests.
We expect you to be skilled at managing creative agencies and adept at using digital marketing communications to increase supporters’ engagement and donations. A good understanding of the codes of practice, regulatory framework and complaints handling requirements of the Fundraising Standards Board is essential too.
As for more general management skills, you must be able to analyse and interpret complex financial, performance reporting and marketing data, and make valuable recommendations.
If you have the abilities and experience to help us become more effective please apply.
