Marie Stopes International Deputy Country Director - Yemen

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable leader to join our country programme based in Yemen. The successful candidate will be a strong strategic thinker with the ability to delegate to and motive senior leaders in country to deliver on quality and results. Working closely with and reporting to the Country Director you will work on innovative and complex activities in line with the MSI Yemen strategic goals and operationally direct the regional clinics on improvements and support in any business development opportunities.
The successful candidate will also have strong experience of dealing with external parties including donors and be able to communicate effectively and persuasively. Proven experience of leading teams is essential as is experience of working cross culturally.
Established in 1998, the Yemen country programme offers women support through family planning; HIV/STIs testing; health screening; maternal health; post abortion care; primary health care. In 2010 alone we averted 78 maternal deaths due to the services provided by Marie Stopes International and delivered 302,605 couple years protection through the provision of family planning.
