International Communications Volunteer

SALARY: Volunteer role, some expenses
CONTRACT: Up to three months
CLOSING DATE: 23 September 2012

ActionAid is a unique non-governmental organisation where each member country has a say in the governance and the direction of the organisations, regardless of where they’re located or how much money they bring to ActionAid.

The International Secretariat provides support and coordination to the whole federation to support this process and the numerous campaigns and programmes that ActionAid works on every day.

This volunteer opportunity is a great chance to get ‘stuck in’ with two busy and experienced teams working in an international environment. You will need to be enthusiastic about communications for development and have the energy to keep up with a constantly evolving sector.

You will be supporting the work of both the International Communications Team (ICT) and the Global Engagement Team through digital, research and video work.

In return for your hard work we can offer hands on experience in a communications environment. You will learn new skills and enhance existing ones which can be taken with you in your future career.
