INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

IFC is expanding IFC InfraVentures, a US$100m global infrastructure fund that provides risk capital to fund the early stages of the development of infrastructure projects. We have around 15 projects currently under development, using a variety of financial instruments and advice in critical areas of project development, with the goal of bringing private and PPP projects to the financing stage. With experience in the power, transport or utilities sectors, the Senior/Principal Investment Officer will lead business development and project development efforts in Africa. In addition to technical skills, candidates will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal, leadership and negotiation skills. Other requirements:

• 10+ years’ experience in non-routine financing of private and PPP infrastructure projects, ideally in emerging countries

• Knowledge of concession financing, policy issues, license conditions, tariff regimes and privatizations

• Successful track record in developing new business and managing clients

• Excellent communication skills in English and French
