In Afghanistan, ActionAid has initiated an integrated programme of community development and policy research in 4 provinces namely Balkh, Jawzjan, Bamyan and Kabul. ActionAid's mandate is to work alongside marginalized groups in an effort to eradicate poverty. The Afghanistan programme strategy focuses on four interwoven levels of involvement:

• Grass roots community mobilization activities;
• Local level capacity building;
• Policy analysis and influencing;
• Net-working and international advocacy.

Action Aid furthers its mission in Afghanistan through long term development projects with sponsorship funding as well as short and medium term donor funded projects aligned to the overall mission, principles and values of ActionAid

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the data base of the youth leaders. 
• Support development of coalition of youth leaders at the provincial level, support formation of civil society organisations. 
• Assist the project in organising training programmes and workshops as envisaged under the project. 
• Provide back up support to the team leader in research on governance and accountability. 
• Documentation of the project activities. 

Qualification

• At least 2 years experience in similar position in civil society organization.
• Good understanding of the issues of youth in contemporary. 
• Sound knowledge of aptitude to work in a team and ability deliver to tight deadlines 
• Strong interpersonal skills. 
• 12 class graduated 
• Good communication in English
