Regional Manager, Latin America And Caribbean
The World Energy Council (WEC), a London-based international energy organisation, seeks a Regional Manager to cover its Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. The position will work with the Vice Chair, LAC, to facilitate the regional agenda; support and develop current and new WEC national Member Committees in the region; promote WEC’s work to regional development banks, governments, NGOs and the media; organise regional workshops and events; and assist with the recruitment of WEC Patrons and Global Partners.
Candidates must be highly motivated, entrepreneurial self-starters with a strong capacity for network building, prior experience in energy and a background in regional energy agenda development, regional or multinational government relations or development work. The position will be based in Latin America and candidates must therefore be fluent in both English and Spanish/ Fluency in Portuguese is highly desirable. An advanced degree in energy and/or government or international relations and prior experience in government or private sector are desirable.
The position will report to the Director, Regional Agenda, in the London office as well as to the Vice Chair, LAC. Travel throughout Latin America and some international travel will be required. 

The base salary is $45,000, with potential for substantial additional compensation through an objectives-based incentive scheme.
