Supplier Management

Toyota’s unique purchasing policy is based on a firm belief in developing and maintaining 
long-term stable relationships with our suppliers. Starting from this true partnership approach, our Purchasing Divisions is split into 3 Departments:
 
The Parts and Components Department (P&C) is responsible for negotiating and agreeing prices with our European wide supplier base, working closely with them to encourage continuous improvement in their manufacturing processes and deliver cost reductions.
Project and Strategy Planning (PSP) responsible for project management within the division and coordinating overall company activity, also includes areas of Facilities Purchasing / Risk management to support wider business issues.
 
Supplier Production Management (SPM) is an Engineering area, which provides support to our suppliers from product development through to pre-production and into mass production applying Toyota Production System principles to ensure our supplier parts achieve our requirements for mass production.


Your Responsabilities

  • You provide the link between Toyota Europe and our component suppliers developing new products for the next generation of automobiles in Europe.
  • Your responsibility is from product development through to pre-production and into mass production using Toyota’s unique production preparation methodology and teamwork approach.
  • Your role as leader of the preparation team of Design, Quality & Logistics people of both Toyota and suppliers is to monitor the planning and development activities of a group of suppliers throughout Europe.
  • You continuously promote innovations and improvements, ensuring on-time preparation leading to the successfulintroduction of your parts into mass production.


Your Assets

  • Up to 4 Years Experience in Quality / Production / Industrial Eng / Logistics department preferably in
  • the automotive or mass production environment.
  • Degree in Engineering – Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive hands-on approach and outgoing personality.
  • Good planning and organisation skills.
  • Team player with an analytical mind.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willing to travel frequently.
