BBC Look North is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Broadcast Journalist, who can work as part of a team in the television newsroom. The position is based in Leeds and is a production role. The successful candidate will be expected to work across all the newsroom shifts, on the breakfast, lunch and weekend bulletins and also on the flagship 1830 programme. They will be expected to come up with ideas for original stories and to work alongside the planning editor to research story ideas.
 
 

Requirements

You need to know Yorkshire; have sound editorial judgement; and understand what Look North’s viewers expect. Previous experience working in television is helpful but not essential; what’s more important is that you have good ideas which could make engaging television, understand the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines and work well as part of a team.
