Project Administrator - Eurisy | France

General description
Eurisy is a European non-profit organisation whose members are most of the European Space Agencies, including ESA. Its main mission is to facilitate the full access of Society to the benefits of satellite information and services considered strategically important for sustainable economic, environmental and social development.
Eurisy achieves these objectives by implementing long-term (3-5 years) programmes, during which it:
  • identifies good practices in the operational use of satellite information and services by early adopters, in many different sectors of application, across Europe;
  • develops long-term partnerships with end-user communities and acquires a thourough understanding of their agenda;
  • raises awareness among these communities of the potential of satellite information and services as solutions to their challenges (mainly based on good practice examples); organises and facilitates exchanges between confirmed users, potential users and multidisciplinary experts (through events and other types of fora);
  • provides bottom-up feedback to decision-makers on the obstacles and opportunities end-user communities encounter when taking up satellite information and services, based on an analysis of their experience.
Ultimately, Eurisy’s goal is to accelerate the penetration of the socio-economic and environmental benefits of innovative services resulting from European investments in satellite infrastructure, through programmes such as Galileo and GMES, so that society can make the most of these investments.
