Communications Manager, WWF-Laos
WWF-Laos, part of WWF-Greater Mekong’s regional programme, is working to conserve the country’s biodiversity and build a secure and sustainable future for people and wildlife.
Laos encompasses some of the most significant forest areas remaining in Southeast Asia, vital to the health and well-being of people and home to rare and endangered species. Winding through Laos, the Mekong river is host to hundreds of fish species and provides a critical source of protein and livelihoods for millions. Few places on Earth are blessed with such natural riches, and few places on Earth demonstrate so dramatically the fundamental link between people and nature.
• At least seven years relevant professional experience, three of which should be in Laos.
• Basic knowledge of environmental and conservation issues in Laos.
• Sound understanding of the institutional and legal frameworks related to communications and public relations in Laos.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic communications, media engagement, project management and excellent writing skills.
• Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and local language.

Location:
WWF-Laos is seeking a Lao National as Communication Manager, based in Vientiane, to design and deliver communications strategies and activities in support of our conservation goals, and to build positive profile for our work through media engagement and various communications assets.Key requirements:
• Degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.• At least seven years relevant professional experience, three of which should be in Laos.
• Basic knowledge of environmental and conservation issues in Laos.
• Sound understanding of the institutional and legal frameworks related to communications and public relations in Laos.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic communications, media engagement, project management and excellent writing skills.
• Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment.
