The main objectives of Grant Writing Experts therefore are:
- Take the lead for the client in the development of the proposal
- Act as client focal point for possible alliance and consortium liaising with the EC and DFID and other parties included in the proposal process in order to foster a common approach methodology in budgets, logframes, etc.
- Develop the different parts of the proposal according to the donors (mainly EU and DFID) format and guidelines and to coordinate with the appropriate client personnel for technical, logistical, financial and strategic input.
- Ensure coherence and intervention rational throughout the proposal.
- Ensure all format and administrative regulations are adhered to.
- Share knowledge about best practice in proposal writing with client staff through on-the-job as well as formal training session, designed specifically for the client
The expected Expert profile is therefore:
- University degree, preferably to postgraduate level
- Substantial experience with proposal and grant writing (at least 10 completed proposals written in lead function)
- Knowledge of EC formats and guidelines
- Experience with working in alliances and/ or consortia
- Experience working as a contract staff or consultant
- Knowledge of the UK and European NGO landscape
- Working in a pioneering social enterprise, devoted to closing to the knowledge gap for NGOs.
