Department

The Efficiency Service Team (EST) sits within BBC Policy & Strategy. You’ll be part of a growing, dynamic team of individuals – including programme-makers, strategists and external experts.  Working on a series of projects across the BBC reinventing the way we work – typically as part of a team of up to 10 people per project – aimed at helping the BBC focus on the future and make better output and smarter decisions. There is a role based in Salford and one based in London.

Role

You’ll play a key role in the management of complex operational transformation projects and contribute to their implementation. Leading a small team of change agents through all elements of a transformation, from diagnosis of potential opportunity to implementing change at the front-line, you’ll also independently structure, analyse and synthesise findings with minimum coaching. Driving improvements in ways of working that will enable the organisation to deliver the best content to audiences, in the most efficient and effective way.

Requirements

We need your proven experience of delivering positive change in ways of working, either through dedicated ‘lean’ or transformation projects or through day-to-day frontline operational experience as well as your experience in managing projects and leading others to accomplish difficult goals. With your good understanding of organisational dynamics and your ability to coach, motivate and mobilise others you’ll also have the ability to independently structure, analyse and synthesise findings.
