Position Description:

The Chief Petroleum Inspector will be responsible for carrying out the coordination of all Inspections to Petroleum sector performance and business practice monitoring functions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To coordinate and supervise field inspections on providers of petroleum products so as to establish conformity with standards.
To solicit, record and process feedback from providers of petroleum products regarding effects of regulatory policies and activities and recommend appropriate action.
To follow up on quality of delivery of petroleum products by licensed providers.
To review and recommend appropriate conditions for licensing and supervising providers of petroleum products.
To monitor and evaluate adherence to provisions of the Petroleum Act and other relevant legislations by providers of petroleum products and recommend appropriate actions.
To review and quality-check data on petroleum products and facilities.
To work with other Stakeholders to find amicable solutions over di putes involving providers of petroleum products and consumers.
To effectively supervise and guide staff member(s) reporting to the job position.
Carry out any additional duties as may be assigned from time to time by the superiors.
Academic Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications and experience:
Possession of University Degree in Geology, Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical or Processing) or Earth Science from a recognized University;
Possession of additional Postgraduate' qualifications in relevant field or other fields such as Business Administration will be an added advantage;
Knowledge and Competence in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) applications; and
Possession of a minimum of five (5) years experience in petroleum industry
