Actuaries play a vital role in many areas of the financial system. The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) represents its members externally and regulates those members for the benefit of the outside world. The IFoA is the chartered professional body for actuaries in the UK.
We are seeking a Head of Learning and Assessment for our Education Directorate based in Oxford. Your role will involve managing the ongoing development of the syllabus and core reading for a number of our qualifications; monitoring and managing performance of exam questions; managing the ongoing development of exam content, instructional design and assessment methods for all exams; and co-ordinating the contribution of staff actuaries, boards of examiners, markers and acilitators to the syllabus, core reading, marking and exam development processes.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing formal assessment at undergraduate level or above and have experience with instructional design and preparing materials for courses or training at undergraduate level or above (preferably for e-learning). You will also be familiar with current trends in assessment methodologies and techniques and current trends in pedagogy and instructional design.
