Head of Programme Design, Fundraising and Assessment
Salary: £49,464 per annum (more for an exceptional candidate), plus excellent benefits

Based: London
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to provide leadership in growing our project income, and improving our ability to measure our impact on peace and thus improve the quality of our work.
You have a talent for expressing clearly how Alert contributes to and can measure change in complex environments, and for leading colleagues in applying good design, M&E and fundraising practice in their work.
You are experienced in designing projects and raising funds in the form of both grants and contracts. You have a good grounding in the theory and practice of M&E. Ideally you have worked for NGOs and for-profit consulting companies – and certainly for either one or the other – and you have experience of working in project implementation consortia.
Supervised by the Director of Programmes, managing the Evaluation and Learning Coordinator and a team of project design and assessment specialists, you will oversee the continued growth and improved quality of programme design, leading the implementation of plans to improve our ability to monitor and evaluate our projects, and increase project funding. This is an influential, centrally-located position with the potential to add enormous value to our work.
Note: The above are some of the requirements for the job. For the full job requirements and an application pack (the person specification section of which will form the basis of short-listing), please visit http://www.international-alert.org/about-us/recruitment/listand ‘How to Apply’. Please note we do not accept CVs
Closing date: Friday 16th August 2013 at 5pm (UK time)
Interviews will take place Friday 6th September 2013.
While International Alert will endeavour to contact all candidates within a reasonable time, this may not always be possible due to limited resources. Therefore, if you have not heard from us within two weeks of the closing date, you can assume that your application has, on this occasion, been unsuccessful.
