POLICY ADVISOR

The EGBA (European Gaming and Betting Association www.egba.eu), is a Brussels-based European Trade Association representing the leading online betting operators in the EU. It is currently recruiting a Policy Advisorfor a full time position.
The ideal candidate should:
  • have 3 years of experience in the European institutions or relevant public affairs function
  • have experience with EU Internal Market, financial services, e-commerce or digital sectors
  • have an excellent level of spoken and written English (native speaker or equivalent). Other languages, notably German, are a significant advantage
  • be technology and service minded
  • have the intellectual curiosity and capacity to work on several  issues simultaneously
Tasks will include:
  • defining and implementing lobbying and communication strategies for the sector
  • maintaining contact with Members of the European Parliament, Commission and other decision-makers
  • monitoring and analysing EU and Members states’ policies and regulations
  • drafting position papers and communication materials on a wide range of issues
  • engaging with the members of the trade association or other industry stakeholders
  • some travelling in Europe for meetings and events
